Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions we hear most. Don't see yours? Just give us a call — we're happy to help.
How much do hearing aids cost?
Prices vary based on the technology and features that fit your hearing and lifestyle. We'll walk you through your options in plain language, with no pressure, so you can choose what's right for your needs and budget. We're happy to discuss pricing and any insurance or financing options during your visit.
Does insurance cover hearing aids?
Some plans offer a hearing aid benefit and others don't. We'll help you understand your coverage and make the most of any benefits you have. Bring your insurance information to your appointment and we'll look into it together.
What is a hearing test like?
It's relaxed and completely painless. We'll chat about what you've been noticing, then check how well you hear different pitches and understand speech in a quiet room. Afterward we explain your results in plain language — the whole visit is comfortable and pressure-free.
Do I really need two hearing aids?
If you have hearing loss in both ears, two hearing aids usually help you understand speech better, tell where sounds are coming from, and hear more comfortably in noise. We'll always give you an honest recommendation based on your hearing — never a sales pitch.
Should I choose rechargeable or battery hearing aids?
Rechargeable hearing aids are popular because there are no tiny batteries to change — you simply place them on a charger overnight. Some people still prefer traditional batteries. We'll help you pick what's easiest and most reliable for you.
What kind of follow-up care do you provide?
Plenty. Your hearing changes over time, and new hearing aids take some adjustment. We provide ongoing fine-tuning, cleanings, and check-ins so your hearing aids keep working their best — we're with you every step of the way.
Can you service hearing aids I bought somewhere else?
In most cases, yes. We clean, adjust, and troubleshoot many major brands even if you didn't purchase them from us. Give us a call and we'll let you know how we can help.
